You have no idea how true these catchy phrases are for Sabbath School & Church Service are. In my church I have heard just about all of them over the years. I especially like photos numbered 6,7,11 & 13.
What about a SS class & service in the foyer? Neat way to keep an Elder & Deacon out of trouble. Just plug in a speaker & TV screen. Simple!! The best excuses are from SDA’s who must work on the Sabbath (Friday nights) and are way too tired to come to church on Sabbath mornings. Woe is me!!

I’M SDA. NOT A ZEALOUS ONE BUT STILL AM. I AM ONE OF THOSE WHO WORKS THE ER INCLUDING EVERYOTHER WEEKEND AND YEAH, SOMETIMES IF I WORK THE FRIDAY 7P TO 7A SCHEDULE, I’M TOO SLEEPY TO GO TO CHURCH. LUCKILY, CHURCH ATTENDANCE IS NOT A REQUISITE FOR SALVATION.

The way it appears people are coming and going throughout the whole service time, I don’t think there is such a thing as being “late” to church! Now if your are a former Lutheran or Baptist, as I am, you KNOW —-9am, in pew, no getting up for potty break or a drink. And no one would DARE bring a bottle of water into the Sanctuary!

TRUE ABOUT THE WATER BOTTLES. I DO NOT SEE ANY DIFFERENCE IN DRINKING WATER OR DRINKING AN ICE COLD GREEN TEA OR A CUP OF COFFEE (SMIRK) IN THE “SANCTUARY”. AS A CHILD, WE COULD NOT EVEN HAVE A CANDY IN CHURCH. BASICALLY, THE DRINKING WATER AND ANYTHING ELSE REQUIRES THE SAME WORK, EFFORT OR MECHANICS, ….. FLUID IN THE MOUTH, TASTE AND SWALLOW.
