Altar Call Time Limit Set At Seven Minutes

Time’s up.
ADVENTIST WORLD — For the first time in their careers, Adventist evangelists are having to navigate an altar call time limit.

New denominational altar call guidelines state that if evangelists “haven’t made the case in seven minutes, subsequent calls for ‘just one more’ or indiscriminately forcing the congregation through another round of I Surrender All is unlikely to lead to anything positive.”

Evangelists were reminded that altar calls are about genuine conversion, not wearing down a congregation until someone takes one for the team.
