RIVERSIDE, Calif. — The World Languages Department at La Sierra University has officially added Wakandan Language Studies as a major.

As the Wakandan language used in the blockbuster Black Panther is actually isiXhosa, one of South Africa’s 11 official languages, La Sierra has brokered an Adventist Colleges Abroad (ACA) agreement with Cape Town, South Africa-based Adventist sister school, Helderberg College. La Sierra students will spend a semester there “getting the notoriously clicks in the language down.”

Within hours of the school announcing the new degree, La Sierra’s World Languages Department had doubled its enrollment and tightened its dress code.

Wakandan Language majors are the only students on campus that are required to wear ultra-fitted nanotech suits to class. The suits are 100% self-cleaning affording Wakandan majors huge savings on their laundry bills.

When it comes to their school bills, Wakandan majors don’t have to worry about loans as tuition is payable in vibranium.
