"Announcements"

What it is: Usually an interminably long list of happenings going on in the church community. Usually also listed in the bulletin. What you do: Settle in. This could take a while. Can also be used as a time to surreptitiously check out the people around you. (Photo via https://icoblog.files.wordpress.com/)

Usually, I kneel “as far as possible”. might even prostrate myself at prayer like the Publican or I can stand like the Pharisee. Options!! Closing eyes for meditation purposes during the service is also great solution. Oops, I just missed the Doxolgy or was it the Benediction? Woe is me!!
