Trump, Romney Apologize Profusely To Each Other

All’s well that tweets well.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Donald Trump and soon-to-be Senator from Utah, Mitt Romney, felt extremely bad about the harsh words they’d hurled at each other over the last 24 hours and offered genuine, mutual apologies this morning, both men saying that they had no idea what had come over them. “I don’t know why I thought it was such a good idea to start 2019 with a scorching op-ed about President Trump,” tweeted Romney. For his part, Trump insisted that his decision to respond by rubbing Romney’s failed election in his face was “YUGELY unnecessary and certainly beneath my oval office.” The two leaders reportedly shared a bear hug this morning in front of the Lincoln Memorial, issuing a joint call for a “dramatic raising of the bar in national political rhetoric.”
