OSHKOSH, Wis. — Organizers for the fast-approaching Oshkosh, Wisconsin-based Pathfinder Camporee have selected an unusual theme song for the event.
Hakuna Matata, a tune from the much-loved Disney classic Lion King, was chosen because of its “practically biblical ‘no worries’ philosophy” which organizers claim “may as well have been taken straight out of Matthew 6:25.”
The organizers insisted that none of them had been to see the live-action Lion King remake in the theater and that the song selection was entirely inspired by a post-Sabbath Saturday night Netflix streaming of the cartoon.
