Dwight Nelson Takes Over As ‘Jeopardy!’ Host

BERRIEN SPRINGS, Mich. —- Pioneer Memorial Church Senior Pastor Dwight Nelson, confirmed today that he would be taking on a “sideline” as host of ‘Jeopardy!’

Nelson, who will continue in his role at PMC, admitted hosting the classic game show will eliminate any free time he had left in his already-packed schedule.

“It’s fine,” said Nelson, “Most of the year Michigan is too cold to do much anyway.”

Ever the Adventist evangelist, Nelson has vowed to add a “Bible Prophecy” category to the game show and is toying with quizzing contestants on Net ‘98 trivia as well.

Nelson has also announced winners will now be sent on all-expenses-paid Maranatha mission trips instead of winning prize money. Consolation prizes mainly consist of golf cart rides around the campus of Andrews University.

Does this mean there will be many more SDA people on the show? I think some of the prizes could SDA products like Little Debbies, Morning Star stuff, Loma Linda Foods, etc. Great marketing potential.
