SDA Commentary On Veggie Tales Now Available

SILVER SPRING, Md. — The Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary series has now been extended to cover the complete Veggie Tales animated series.

Apologizing that it has taken until now to get this done, the General Conference said researchers had worked six days a week for years to make sure Adventists were provided with a footnoted Adventist explanation to the complex storyline behind episodes like Dave and the Giant Pickle, Madame Blueberry and Lyle the Kindly Viking.

No stone has been left unturned in the analysis of each Veggie Tales episode. The commentary includes painstaking background info on recurring characters Larry, Bob, Junior Asparagus, Archibald Asparagus, Pa Grape, Jimmy and Jerry.

The SDA Commentary provides helpful tips on how each character could be persuaded to accept distinctive Adventist doctrines like the Sanctuary, the State of the Dead and Potluck.

In addition to the new commentary resource, the latest print run of the Seventh-day Adventist hymnal will feature an entire section dedicated to the best of Very Silly Songs.
