Slide Show — Stand, sit or kneel: What to do during an Adventist church service

Postlude

What it is: A musical number usually performed by an organist signaling the end of the service. What you do: Sit? Stand up and mingle? It's hard to tell as people do both. It's probably more respectful to sit and listen as the organist plays, but if you're still angling for a potluck invite, this could be your last opportunity to talk to people. (Photo by Joe Mabel)

Usually, I kneel “as far as possible”. might even prostrate myself at prayer like the Publican or I can stand like the Pharisee. Options!! Closing eyes for meditation purposes during the service is also great solution. Oops, I just missed the Doxolgy or was it the Benediction? Woe is me!!
