Closed-toed shoes are the gold standard. Maybe, MAYBE strappy sandals on especially hot days, but wear pantyhose with them nevertheless. Flip-flops are NOT acceptable in church (but see the note at the start of the slideshow.)

    Had to chuckle at several.

    But oh those pants. I have to dress my wife in pants. She has Alzheimer and has developed an odd habit of hiking her skirt up so far as to show her depends to anyone near by. Can’t convince her to leave it down, so it’s pants for that lady like it or not. I suppose I could have her wear a long skirt over the pants!
