LOS ANGELES, Calif. — CBS announced this morning that a “different kind of passenger” would be joining James Corden in an upcoming version of his extremely popular Carpool Karaoke segments.

The studio said that it was deliberately branching out to include televangelists, and that Corden’s first pick was Seventh-day Adventist prophecy authority and former caveman, Doug Batchelor.

Amazing Facts, Batchelor’s international television ministry, is promoting the upcoming segment as “a very first for the Remnant” and promising that Batchelor will not disappoint.

Corden and Batchelor will be singing what Batchelor describes as “a selection of Top 40 hits from the Seventh-day Adventist Hymnal.”

Corden has been familiarizing himself with the songs and says he can’t wait to have Batchelor on his show. “I hear he’s got some funky moves,” said Corden. “He’s going to teach me how to do a backflip.”

Corden should put Pr. David Asscherick (Donkeycherick?) on there to do skateboard tricks while Batchelor does backflips. It’s a new day for evangelism. New times require new methods.

While James branches out to include televangelists, he should also try loud, bombastic politicians–such as yours truly. I have some funky moves, too: I can move my small hands in that weird way while I say “America will be tremendous.” Another of my funky moves is that wacky eye-roll that I do when I say: “Hellary is a crook.”
