In a revealing Oprah interview, the Duchess Of Sussex and Prince Harry revealed their frustration with royal “compliance committees” that had monitored every move of their former lives as ordained royals. Meghan said the committees could, at any point, be building a case for formal warnings at the Annual Palace Council or, in the case of more serious infractions, public reprimand at the same yearly gathering. Harry explained such reprimand could lead to a humiliating loss of voting rights on palace matters. Although both admitted Annual Palace Council had lost a lot of its ooomph now that it was being held on Zoom, they both claimed to have no regrets about turning in their ordination credentials to the “highest earthly authority.”
