WASHINGTON, D.C. — In a 6-3 decision, the US Supreme Court has ruled that discriminating against pastors for being female “is as counterproductive as it is backward.”
Any church that bases hiring decisions on gender and chauvinistic readings of ancient texts is wildly out of step with basic principles of equality that must be upheld, said the ruling.
The ruling also questions “how any modern organisation can reasonably expect to get anything done while refusing to use some of its best human resources.”
The Supreme Court ruling stated that persistence in discrimination against female pastors will earn churches public reprimand and a scorching review in the next George Knight book.
