This guy came prepared. He knew the sermon was going to be long. He wanted to be with his people—same pews, same Sabbath, same potluck afterward—but he also wanted to survive the second hour.
Sleep mask down. Neck pillow fully inflated. Tiny blanket across his knees. The pastor was still on his first point when this man checked out.
Everybody else was waiting for the appeal. He had already answered it: lights out. He came for fellowship. He packed for a red-eye. Bless his heart. And whoever designed that pillow.
