Religious Liberty Is for the People You Think Are Wrong

The Adventist version of this was never “leave us alone and we will leave the theory alone.” It was that forced faith is not faith. That sentence covers the Adventist who will not sit a Saturday exam, and it covers the neighbor whose holy day, or lack of one, you find unconvincing. A liberty that shrinks to the size of the remnant is a privilege with a Bible text on it. The older claim was harder, and it was better.
