Are You a Homeless Adventist?

Are You a Homeless Adventist?

Not on paper. Not in doctrine. Just in daily life.

You still believe the message, and you have no plans to leave. But somewhere along the way, you stopped feeling at home anywhere in the church.

Progressive spaces find you too traditional. Conservative ones find you too curious. So you sit, you nod, and inside you quietly edit everything you would like to say, just so you can stay in the room.

Slowly, you drift. Not out of rebellion. Out of tiredness.

Finding a church should never mean deciding which part of yourself to mute.

One side holds certainty so tightly there is no space to wrestle. The other opens so wide it forgets what made Adventism distinct. If you believe truth and grace both matter, you end up an outsider in both camps. A theological middle child.

Here is a thought, though. Maybe you are not homeless. Maybe the middle is just quiet.

There are probably more people like you than you realize. People who take the message seriously without using it as a weapon, who ask honest questions without throwing everything out. They are simply less online and less algorithm-friendly.

That is a big part of why BarelyAdventist exists: a place where conviction and honesty can share a pew.

And remember who walked this road first. Jesus was too strict for some and too gracious for others, and He still made room at His table for both. If you follow Him, you are not homeless. You are home.

The loud voices always find funding. The thoughtful middle rarely does. If this space has ever made you feel seen, help it grow. Become a patron and help build a middle that holds: https://www.patreon.com/barelyadventist ❤️❤️
