You’re Not Falling Apart — You’re Just Living in a Broken World

Share

Let’s be honest. Some days feel less like walking with Jesus and more like being dragged behind the chariot.

You prayed. You tried. You even refrained from correcting someone’s theology online. And still—here you are. Tired. Discouraged. Wondering if faith is supposed to feel this… crunchy.

From an Adventist perspective: yep. This tracks.

We believe the world is broken, history is limping toward hope, and God specializes in showing up after things look irreversibly messy. If your life feels like the Great Controversy is being personally workshopped in your inbox—congrats. You’re not failing. You’re participating.

Remember: Sabbath exists because life is hard. Grace exists because you can’t pull it together. The Second Coming exists because God looked at this planet and said, “Yeah, we’re not leaving them to figure this out alone.”

You don’t need to be stronger today. You don’t need to be more optimistic or more put-together. Adventism isn’t a productivity system for holiness. It’s a reminder that salvation is not crowdsourced, and hope is not earned.

Some days the most faithful thing you can do is survive, eat something vaguely nutritious, and trust that God is still wildly committed to you—even when you feel spiritually undercooked.

So if today is hard: breathe. Rest. Laugh a little. God has already factored in this version of you. And somehow—miraculously—you’re still held, still seen, still loved.

Also: the end of the story is very good. That’s kind of our whole thing.
