SILVER SPRING, Md. — Change of plans: ballooning inflation has meant that the printing of the billion Great Controversy copies that were supposed to be distributed across the globe, has been scrapped in favor of what the GC is calling “greener evangelism.”

The mammoth book distribution process “will now take place via email to pre-purchased email addresses not all of which have been verified, strictly speaking,” said a GC memo with the update.

The plan is to go ahead with the project even though a significant portion of the recipients have AOL email addresses and it is not clear they are still alive.
