If You’re Exhausted, Discouraged, and Over It… Read This First

Share

You’re not burned out. You’re burned through. You’ve been caring, hoping, believing, showing up, and holding it together longer than anyone realizes—and now your soul is filing a formal complaint.

That doesn’t make you weak. It makes you human in a world that runs on urgency and rewards exhaustion like it’s a spiritual badge of honor.

Here’s the truth: God is not impressed by how depleted you are. God is not keeping score of your grit. You don’t earn extra grace points for running yourself into the ground. Rest isn’t a failure of faith—it’s one of the clearest signs that you actually believe God is in charge.

Adventists talk a lot about waiting. Waiting for justice. Waiting for healing. Waiting for the end of the story. Waiting isn’t passive—it’s resistant. Choosing not to panic. Choosing not to numb out. Choosing not to pretend you’re fine when you’re very much not.

If you’re discouraged, it’s likely because you care deeply about how things should be. That’s not a flaw. That’s holy discontent. God has a long history of working with tired people who refuse to give up on hope, even when they need to take a break from optimism.

So take the pressure off. You don’t need a breakthrough today. You don’t need clarity. You don’t need a plan.

You need permission to stop performing and start breathing.

God hasn’t lost track of you. The story isn’t stalled. And you’re not behind.

You’re just weary—and still held.
