These are the voices in our church who try to rob your peace. They tell you that you are not truly saved unless you follow their rules, meet their expectations, or agree with their interpretation. They wield the church handbook like a weapon, swinging it at anyone who dares question them, attempting to control the narrative and silence dissent. They preach a gospel of compliance rather than a gospel of grace.
But we do not have to live under their shadow. We do not have to let fear dictate our faith. Staying silent only hands them more power. Letting them control the conversation allows their narrow version of spirituality to define our experience—and that is not who we are called to be.
We are better than this. We are bridge-builders. We are a community that believes in connection, understanding, and hope. We believe that faith is not about strict adherence to rules or a checklist of behaviors; it is about grace, love, and the courage to move forward even when the path is uncertain.
Our faith moves forward, and so does our vision for the future—not fear, not judgment, but hope, inclusion, and grace. We advance the messy, beautiful work of building a church that lifts people up instead of tearing them down.
The future does not need to be defined by the few who insist on controlling it. The future belongs to those who believe, who hope, and who act with courage and conviction. Do not let hijackers steal your peace or define your faith. Stand up. Speak out. Build bridges. Move forward.

Too often, Adventist voices try to define our faith with fear, rules, and control. They tell us we’re not “good enough” and wield the handbook like a weapon. But we refuse to be silenced. We believe faith is about grace, courage, and hope, not compliance and judgment.
At BarelyAdventist, we’re building a community that lives Adventism differently: abundant life here and now, care for health and family, service to others, and faith that uplifts instead of tearing down. Every post, conversation, and idea empowers believers to move forward with peace, joy, and conviction.
